I recently returned to the US after living in France for 5 years, speaking almost exclusively French. I am fluent, and can speak both properly and colloquially, with a very good regional accent. I also speak good Spanish, Tibetan, and small amounts of several other languages, making me very experienced in learning languages which helps me know common problems people have. My teaching philosophy is first to have the knowledge for the subjects. Then, I think you need to understand the youth learning styles and to find out where they are with their knowledge and then begin from there. Certainly some refreshing maybe necessary, but most of the time the youth is behind so the teaching would focus on helping them reach their potential and moving forward.
