I am a strong believer in interrelating knowledge in diverse areas and illuminating its applications to real life in the belief that students are more motivated to learn when the relevance of that learning is clear to them. I am very passionate about teaching at every age level (e.g. my daughter is 7). I am patient and kind and believe that instilling self esteem is one of the most important aspects of learning. I graduated with my master's three years ago, so I haven't had any actual teaching, but I have tutored for the community college where I live. I tutored essay writing and some math. I was also certified as a tutor through our community college. In college I taught certain subjects, but just for part of certain classes. I am presently tutoring on line also. As an older student I was very driven to achieve a high level of excellence in my education, hardly ever missing a class.
