A Little Bit About Me...

I have discovered that every individual no matter what age has the ability to learn and adapt. It is how the learning occurs and in what way the individual finds success that is the focus of my teaching styles. My personal style of educating is focused around a person centered philosophy and the knowledge that every individual has different ways of learning. I graduated with a B.S. degree in early childhood education from Iowa State University in 2004. As a result, I have had the chance to substitute teach and tutor in Iowa and California. While substitute teaching, I had the opportunity to work in various classrooms at all age levels and subjects. While tutoring, I worked with students grades K-6 in all subject areas one-on-one, and in small group settings. In the area of special education I have taught students from age 3 to 16 with Mental Disabilities for 8 years.
