As a teacher and instructor, I have over 20 years experience in education and a BA in Music Education. I have 13 years experience teaching music, to all levels K-12, in public schools. In addition I have and continue to provide individual music lessons to children and adults. I also teach group kickboxing exercise classes at our YMCA. I have also enjoyed volunteering in our Awana club as a group leader assisting 3rd - 5th grade students. I have proven many methods of teaching, especially in instrumental music. Through large group rehearsals and individual instruction, I have been allowed to explore many types of learning tools. Kickboxing instruction has also provided even more opportunities for diverse learning. My primary method is demonstration and 'hands-on' approach, especially with learning an instrument.
