I've had years of experience due to my love of English. I'd help my friends and underclassmen to understand a novel or get ideas to write a paper. I'd check their grammar and spelling, and offer advice about the overall style of the paper. Now, I'm studying to become a college professor of English and perhaps French. I'm willing to work with students at middle school and high school age who need help either writing or understanding English or grammar, or need help with an assigned book that they can't understand (ergo, Shakespeare).
Depends on the student. I'm very adaptable. To say I am or am not alone thing here would be to exclude those who don't like that style.

My comments on tutoring Composition : I currently teach composition at Eastern Kentucky University.

I love piano and schoolwork

I teach on a basic level. I like to know what the student wants to get out of a session and whether the topic is interesting. I love to help a student learn to love school and music through tutoring sessions.
I have been a math, science, history, and music tutor since high school. I conduct for a church choir and have taken piano lessons for many years. I love to learn, which is why I love teaching children. Every child learns differently, because of this, teaching is a learning process as well! I believe that students learn best through hands on activities that allow them to internalize the concepts they are struggling with.
