Sociology is one of my top subjects! I have served as a tutor for introduction to sociology, social statistics, social theory, and a range of specified topics including but not limited to race/ethnic relations, marriage and family, gender/sexuality,urban sociology, wealth/power/inequality, and aging. I have primarily tutored to athletes and my strengths are being able to make these subjects both undertsandable and enjoyable.

I am currently finishing my Ph.D. in Sociology at Georgia State University, in the dissertation stage. I have been a lead graduate researcher for two years prior to beginning my dissertation. I have also been an athletic tutor for the past three years. Throughout my career I have helped all of my students to secure passing grades in theor classes, regardless of level of difficulty. While I do not do the work for you, I can teach you how to attain passing grades in your classes.
I believe that anyone can come to undertsand the underlying value of Sociology and can make the subject of Sociology enjoyable. A Little Bit About Me...

The teaching style that brings the best success I've found is centered on two points. First of all, it is based on listening, which means getting the student to talk. Eventually, with guidance, I aim to get them the ability to talk through and solve any problem. The second major technique I like to use is analogies. Even complicated subjects can be simplified into their core components which are easy to understand if taught as an analogy to something more familiar in daily life. Just as the Bible uses parables or employers use phrases from team sports to explain team roles, I find lots of success by using analogies.
