A Little Bit About Me...

My specialty is reading, writing and research. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas, where I studied government, law and economics. I believe most students can learn or solve any problem by talking it through, which is often easier and more effective than simply trying to think it through silently. I have helped students with research and writing on and off for 15 years and have the most experience in English, History, Economics, Psychology, Social Studies, Geography and paper writing (or research) of most any subject at any level.

Working with different age groups, have shown me that every child is their own individual. I get to know the children I work with to understand the best approach to take with them. I can work in small groups, large groups, or individual. Some children are shy and may work better alone. It takes patience to teach and I am blessed to have that gift.
I was determined to be the first to attend and graduate from college out of a big family. I have learned different aspects of Psychology to apply to everyday life. My M.A. in English Literature equipped me to inspire both eager and reluctant students to write and read with confidence and capability. As a reporter, a proofreader, and an editor, I used language in the real world, and that application helps me inspire and motivate students.
