I have worked with the severe and profound in the Marshalltown High School, When I did some practicums worked with K-5 children, worked with Special needs children one on one. Volunteered in the school system all the years my daughter was going. Taught Sunday school with a variety of children, also taught Bible school Multi sensory teaching, children learn with their different senses, and you must adapt to work with the child in the way they will most be able to perform.

I am a third year student studying for an Elementary Education degree through DmACC and Iowa State. I have just completed a year of Elementary Educator math courses. I have also have a degree in Practical Nursing and Limited Radiology Technology. I decided to go back to school to become an Elementary Teacher after being a nurse for several years and also ran a daycare out of my home when my kids were small. I currently work part-time as a Teacher's Associate at Ankeny Community Schools. I am looking to tutor during the summer months and possibly throughout the school year.

I graduated in December 2014 from Iowa State University with a Civil Engineering degree- 3.5 GPA honor student. Before Iowa State I went to the University of Iowa for two years to play basketball. Prior to that I went to Des Moines Christian High School. I am currently working in Des Moines. I have a passion for teaching and have tutoring experience in college. Math and science are my strengths. I can help with about any math and science up to organic chemistry (I was pre-med my first few years of college). The best times for me would be before 8:00 a.m. or after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays or anytime on the weekend besides 10:00-noon on Sundays. Feel free to ask any questions.

I am from the Des Moines area, I grew up and went to Johnston. After high school I continued to work at a daycare while going to Des Moines Community College to get my AA degree. I then continued my education at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. I am currently student teaching in Des Moines and will be finished in May. I will have my teaching degree in Elementary and I will also have my endorsement in math with grades K-8. During my years at UNI, I have had many opportunities to work with elementary students. I have created many lessons in all subject areas. I love working with students and it is my passion.
