As a high school student and college graduate, I have lived through the education process and hope to share that experience with students. I hold a Bachelors of Arts in History and a minor in Women`s Studies. I graduated from Wilkes University which was originally formed as a part of Bucknell University. As well as academics, I became heavily involved in campus activities and community service. Have taught a total of nine years in elementary and middle school while raising my three children. It was during this time I discovered two of my three children were diagnosed with special needs. This prompted me to return to school where I obtain my Master's certificate in teaching students with disabilities. I wanted to learn more about how children with special needs learn and the best ways of reaching/teaching them.
