As I entered college, I quickly was labeled a tutor by my friends. They would find me before exams so I could give them a crash course on what they needed to know before an exam. Little by little, I had a following of friends and acquaintances who were reliant on me to do well in their courses. In teaching, I find the key to unlocking the minds of the students is to find the appropriate analogy or metaphor.
