Even though I graduated with a degree in Business Adminstration I hav always enjoys tutoring. I have been tutoring my younger neices and nephews just because I enjoy so. I have tutored grades K-12 in about almost every subject possible except band. I have written lots research papers on many different subjects.
I feel if that you really want to learn a subject, that you should try teaching it. I am very friendly and laid back. I try to instill humor and life experiences with my teachings to help the children relate to me or the materials. I love the look of child when the wheels are turning in thier head. I began my educational career at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. It was here that I learned to challenge myself and to help others. I was led to the field of education after many years of volunteering in schools, at church and as a mentor. I have earned a BA in Sociology and an MA in Elementary Education. I am also working on a second masters in K-12 Literacy Instruction. I have worked as a classroom partner in an Korean ESL classroom; a 3rd-5th grade tutor in a Spanish speaking ESL classroom, a 2nd-5th grade Behavior Specialist, an Instructional Interventionist for 1st-5th grade, a 3rd grade a Kindergarten teacher and am currently a 2nd grade classroom teacher.
