Once while subbing, I entered a classroom where the students had been allowed to watch Jerry Springer on TV for the last two weeks. I couldn't let this continue, but I saw how emotional the class was about the show. I encouraged them to write their own talk show and told them we would perform it the next day. I find that connecting student's interest with the subject matter to be learned is the best way to teach.
After completing my undergraduate degree in English Literature at Florida State University, I worked as a substitute teacher in Hillsborough County for two years. In 2009, I completed my Master's Degree in Communication at University of South Florida while simultaneously employed at the Department of Special Education. My comments on tutoring Social Studies : Those who never learn history are condemned to repeat it.

I was a teaching assistant throughout high school. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi. My comments on tutoring Social Studies : I have a master's degree in social studies and I have taught virtually all social studies subjects grades 7-12.

My style is student centered. I always try to provide a positive atmosphere for learning. My jokes were a technique to help accomplish that goal. As a GED teacher I always began with a pretest and documented student progress to correct any deficiencies. Helping elementary and middle schoolers in all subjects
