I love working with all children. I believe that every child has the potential to learn and I try very hard to find out what works for the individual learner. I have become very adept at determining what level each student is at and tailoring my teaching style to suit the students that I am working with. In a class of over 20, I was able to reach each student with modified lessons and assignments. In the case of individual tutoring, I move at a rate that challenges the student while giving them ample opportunities to feel successful. After finishing student teaching, getting certified to teach in Pennsylvania, and graduating from Moravian College, I joined Teach for America and committed two years to closing the achievement gap. I have taught 10th and 11th grade English for two years in Forrest City, AR. I have run after-school ACT prep sessions with my students, and I have worked one on one with them both before and after school hours.
