I have worked with children in one role or another for the past ten years. Last semester I student taught 8th grade American History in Fort Collins and completed my social studies licensure. I then substitute taught a myriad of subjects from English to Math, grades pre-K through 12th grade. Before that I spent four years going through CSU's education department and semesters with students ranging 6th grade to 12th grade. I like to make connections between what is relevant in the world right now to the subject matter.

Helping and watching children learn is inherently rewarding. While skills and content must be mastered, methods can and should be tailored to the individual student. I began tutoring in high school then in college, I majored in mathematics to pursue a career in teaching.
