As a lifelong musician, I have always allowed my passion for music to drive me towards excellence in a variety of instruments. I have played guitar for 10 years and regularly perform in both church and secular settings. Because I also play bass, drums, keyboard and sing, I have a great feel for how each instrument fills a specific role in the overall sound you are trying to create. Because I have such a love for music, I love to share what I have learned (from both self-teaching and learning in a more formal setting) with others, because I believe music is at its best when it is a collaborative, team effort.

A Little Bit About Me...

Patients is a amazing thing to have when trying to teach. Many students learn at a different pace and I feel that finding that pace for every student is important. If you try to cram or learn something to quickly it only become heartache and bad grades.
In College I would form groups to try and study for upcoming test or exams. Doing this it really helped me to learn what I was studying and how other people learn as well.

I like teaching by example -- that is, a given example of a real world problem that correlates with the subject at hand. I like to first define the objective desired, then work systematically toward achieving every step along the way with the tools at my disposal.
As a grad assistant in college, I worked for two years teaching students business software programs in a class room environment. I have also been a team leader in an engineering firm (Parsons Brinckerhoff) in which I liased constantly with both the public and field representatives.
