15 years experience in a broad variety of subjects!

I have been tutoring for over 15 years both in students homes or at public locations such as coffee shops or the public library. My education and experience are broad. I was educated at "Ivy League" level schools and purposefully educated myself in a large variety of the humanities, which in essence all tie together. Basic courses up through most High School material outside of the Humanities are not difficult. Actually, while my education has been primarily in the Humanities, the material I see the most in tutoring is Algebra and Geometry!
I have a way of perceiving the difficulty the student has, and am able to explain the material in a simple way that makes it easy for students to grasp. Upon enrolling my children in school, I decided to be an active part of their education. So, I assisted their teachers with everything I could. Eventually, I became a trusted part of the school system (an honorary teacher, so to speak). They began giving me more responsibilities, concerning the children of the school. I tutored hundreds of students to increase their FCAT results, single-handedly; I corrected documents, daily; I worked on setting up the computers for the teachers and students, and I trained both to use them. Need help with Biology? I can make learning fun!!

I have always used student-oriented teaching methods. For example I usually give the students real -life scenarios such as case studies to reinforce the concepts they learn. I also give the students worksheets and practice material. I have always received good feed back from students regarding my enthusiasm and knowledge of the subject.
