I take more of an inquiring approach and I become more of the facilitator and guide and direct my students by asking questions, exploring options, suggesting alternatives, and encouraging them to develop criteria to make informed choices. My Overall goal is to develop in students the capacity for independent action, initiative, and responsibility. I work with my students on projects in a consultative fashion and I try to provide as much support and encouragement as possible. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the State University of New York at SUNY New Paltz and I have matriculated into the Master of Arts in Biology program at the same university. As a result of my many research and laboratory reports I have excellent writing and typing skills and have completed many writing assignments including numerous essays in various fields as a requirement of completing my Bachelor of Science degree. Because I have coursework at the graduate level in the field of biology, I have taught at the college level and will continue to do so next semester, so I have roughly 1 year of experience teaching students.
