REAL LEARNING IS FUN, RISKY, DANGEROUS...BUT NEVER BORING :)

My experience spans both the ivory tower and the world of business and industry. I have observed that "TEACHING" is often associated with the ideas of "PRESENTATION" and "ACADEMIC ENTERTAINMENT". Honestly, for many students it is comforting, soothing, and safe to sit in a chair and listen to an "ADULT" sing to them in the language of Calculus, Organic Chemistry, Java, etc. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT APPROACH. Nevertheless, I too have sung to many students in the language of General Chemistry at the Junior College Level. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been the educational field for over fifteen years. My experience varies from classroom instruction to self paced, online adult programs. I have taught technical and non-technical courses to a variety of age groups. I am currently teaching at Cleveland Public Schools as a Business instructor.
My teaching style completely depends on the learner. In a classroom setting, I am fairly relaxed and ensure that students feel confident and able to communicate without fear. My lessons address each of the learning styles so that every student has the opportunity to utilize their strengths when it comes to processing information.
