During the last 10 years I have worked with all levels of students, preschool through college levels. These areas include reading, math, english, psychology, science and social studies. I am a self starter and have worked with parents when I owned/operated my private daycare. I have since then worked with children in low poverty communities in Atlanta Georgia, in order to provide an alternative method to learning to ensure that children receive the appropriate level of understanding of various subjects.
What I have learned working with students is that many do not learn in the same manner. I beleive in what is called top process learning. I taught in public school and private. While doing so and during summers, I tutored on my own. I got married in 1986, had three children and stayed out of the classroom for a while. I homeschooled my own children and began an ACCREDITED highschool for home schoolers. I taught and tutored all subjects. I have also worked with several learning disabled children.
