What I have learned working with students is that many do not learn in the same manner. I beleive in what is called top process learning. Given the student a concept and allowing them to explore the possibilities of how one arrives at such a concept has allowed deeper critical thinking and strategic planning. However, this method is not predominately taught in Georgia education system. I have found this method to be very effective. The other method is patience. Students who strugge with their academic learning usually are having other areas of difficulty which may be social learning. Having clinical training allows me to make a more accurate assessment.

I have been working with children of and on all my life. My credentials are personal as well as professional. From a personal perspective, I have a child with autism for which I have spent many hours tutoring in the afternoons. I also have another daughter, who has struggled in school.
