Learning Math can be FUN!

Turning your weakness into your strength

I have been tutoring for over seven years, starting with my peers in tenth grade. I have tutored a wide range of subjects, from Geometry through Calculus III, from general computer knowledge through utilizing the advanced functions of Microsoft Access. My comments on tutoring Math : I have had a great deal of experience in this subject.

I like to cooperate with the student, finding their strengths and weaknesses in order to improve their chance of success. I am very careful to zero in on what the student needs and eliminate anything that is already known. In other words, I do not like to waste the learners time with facts that they know but concentrate on what needs to be learned.
I have a BS in Education with a Comprehensive Science specialty - 7th to 12th grades. I have taught science in the classroom, but I changed after I got married to tutoring. In the past few years I have spent most of my time tutoring math and GED. This has been done in both a private and classroom setting. The Friendly Math Guy Next Door
