A Little Bit About Me...

During all my time as a student I tried to help my classmates to improve their learning and their grades by tutoring them. I have earned a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineer, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and physics. I am a Spanish native speaker, so I can help students in this language too. In my years of tutoring I have tutored students in mathematics (trigonometry, algebra), physics and English as a second language.
I love math so I truly enjoy helping children to discover the world of math and to be fearless at them. I am patient, easy going but at the same time firm to teach. I believe all children can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate surroundings and learning experiences. A few good educators can make a world of difference to a child's education.

I have worked with students of all grade levels from volunteering at the Cocopah Head Start preschool to working with high school students as a substitute teacher. I have an English as a Second Language endorsement and have worked with adults in improving the English level. I excell in creative writing and am currently assisting friends in obtaining their GED.
I believe in Howard Garner's theory of teaching to the student style of learning. They are as follows: Visual, Auditory, Musical, Kinesthetic, Interpersonal and Intrapersonal. As I work with the student and get to understand their abilities and limitations I develop a style that will work the best for that particular student.
