Math Teacher Who Gets Results!

My teaching style is a combination of TPR (Total Physical Response), Socratic and Discovery. I believe that involving the student's intellect and creativity is very valuable in arriving at their understanding of the material.
I have taught Math, English, Science and other core courses in California public and private schools for 28 years. My students always enjoy learning with me because I teach application as well as theory. I show how and where the facts being learned can be employed. The more students are involved with the learning process the faster they internalize the material and the sharper, clearer will be their recall.

I recently moved to Arizona and received my substitute teaching certificate. I am a new college Graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Ag Leadership and Development. My degree helped me understand how individuals learn and process information. It also helped me understand and respect people of different cultures, religions and races. I learned many different teaching mechanisms and strategies to educate individuals. While in high school I was very involved in 4-H and other extracurricular activities. With three children my oldest 16, my middle child is ten and the baby is 3 I have had the opportunity to help them learn and grow through school.I also sit in class with my fifth grader and help out because of shortage of aides.
