I worked at a facility called St. Mary's Home for Disabled Children, as a recreation therapist. While there, I worked with special needs children and designed fun/educational programs for them. During my senior year in high school, I tutored and mentored at a program named AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination). This program is designed to prepare students for college. My job was to help students with any subject they were having trouble with. Math was the most common subject that students needed help with the most.
