Experienced, enthusiastic, and enjoyable teacher.

I'm here to help!

I have a relaxed, stress-free teaching style, while staying on task and topic. I make sure the pupils really understand the material by breaking things down to the basics, and reviewing the foundations. After reviewing and application of the concepts, I have my students switch roles and "teach" me the material. I believe if you can explain the material to someone else, you really understand it.
I double-majored in biology in chemistry in undergrad, so the field of science and medicine is my first love and my strength. A Little Bit About Me...

I have two younger sisters myself, and I am currently coaching the eight year old's softball team. From this experience, I have learned to have patience and creativity when it comes to teaching. I break things down so they become fun and informative.
While at Virginia Tech, I dedicated much of my time to volunteering. Here I fell in love with serving others. I am a very motivating person and tend to use humor as a method of teaching. I teach to and with the child and never down to him/her. I break large components into their simplest forms so that a child learns to take things one step at a time and not feel overwhelmed. I make the learning relevant to what the child is interested in or knows about so that he/she can be more engaged in the learning process.
