My very first year of teaching was at the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School, and I also taught for two years at Northern Lehigh High School. As a young man I had several problems with math. It turns out that I was unable to visualize what the equations meant in abstract algebra and calculus. Eventually I was able to relate these concepts to subjects that I found interesting such as music and archaeology. Therefore creating more interest in the subjects that I gravitated to naturally.
