I work as a math teacher at Tupelo Christian Preparatory School. While in college I tutored some of my peers. During my student teaching I was able to work one-on-one with many students in the classroom and I understand the different types of learning styles of students. Also during my student teaching I tutored high school students in math in the after school program and tutored privately for some other students whose parents wanted me to help their child. I started working in the school system in 2001 volunteering as a tutor for at risk kids. I tutored numerous mathematic course for over 6 years. I have earned a one bachelor degree in biology and hope to earn my second degree in mathematics as well as in education. I have learned to do research and solve proofs. I worked at MUS biology lab under Dr. Gary Ervin for a year and I did research on wetland and plants. I have written numerous research papers and have numerous skills in the labatory. While attending high school at South panola, I tutored every subject at the school and at the boys and girls club for four years. I have earned a BS in Chemistry with a minor in Math. During my tenured at the ole miss I tutored at oxford and other local schools through a program called Family literacy, which is a progam to help educate kids of all ages. So, I have tutored kids for the past 8-9 years.
