When most high school seniors were registering for classes, they had an easy agenda planned. My intentions were entirely different. I decided to challenge myself the final year and study more science coursework than was needed for me to sufficiently graduate. In addition, I was the kind of friend that was reliable in understanding course concepts, so most of my friends and some other peers were coming to me for help. In college, I continued to pursue my interest in business. Through out college I contributed to my church's youth group by helping in organizing and implementing their projects.
I enjoy children and trying to teach them new and exciting things. I teach in a high school Resource Room, a program designed primarily for students with learning disabilities or at-risk students- those students who are at-risk of failing a subject due to reading/comprehension difficulties, the fast pace of the regular classroom, or a learning style that does not fit the traditional classroom. My expertise is designing a course of study that fits the individual needs of the student - finding out how they learn best so they are able to learn.
