Experienced, unconventional Latin and English teacher

I have over 20 years of experience working as a university instructor and private teacher for students ages 11-50. Most of my experience has been in English as a Second Language programs for community colleges and research universities, including M.I.T. and Tufts University. These may be the so called "blocks" that may develop after negative early experiences, preconceptions about the subject, or simply lack of confidence. Replacing resistance with enthusiasm and interest, and then providing expert guidance can then lead to acheivement.
Originally trained as a teacher of Drama and English, I subsequently spent many years working in the theatre, not only in educational situations but also as an actor, director and writer.
