I helped elementary kids in highschool ('08-'09). I was a peer facilitator for highschool Biology and Advanced Placement Psychology ('09), and I have various experience helping others understand the subjects they have trouble with. I'm not a know-it-all (math is my weakness) so I understand the other side of the coin and how sometimes you just need a different way to learn.

In my professional career, I enjoy taking a problem, breaking it down into its component parts, and solving each part as I work towards its solution. I also try to do this whenever I am showing someone how to do something, making sure that the person I am instructing is comfortable at each step of the way. I feel that teaching will not only inform young minds to think differently or make them more motivated to learn. But to allow one to master his or her knowledge in general, teaching allows oneself to fully understand the subject in their own minds.
