I understand that all children learn differently and I am able to adapt my teaching style to fit the child. I am both patient and positive and I like to give the student confidence. I taught in Prince George's Public schools for 5 years, Hyde Leadership Public Charter School in DC for 1 year, Avon Park High School for 2 years, Hardee Junior High for 1 year, and Bill Duncan Opportunity Center (alternative school) for 2 years. Over the last three years I have worked in Hillsborough County as a Middle School Science Teacher. After three years of teaching Science I had a strong desire to work with ESE and Special Needs children so I became a Sub for Hillsborough County so I could travel where need and work with various children. Prior to teaching in FL, I taught in SC and provided reading pull out in WV. During my time in WV I worked on a dual Masters in Literacy and Elementary Education, but was unable to finish it due to lack of aid. In college I took part in the Junior Achievement program, teaching economics curriculum to third graders during the spring quarter of my senior year.
