I prefer to use materials that students have been given in their classroom (textbooks, homework, study guides, notes) and provide additional explanation and examples. I always ask students which areas they would like to go over most importantly. I ask them to try an example problem with me, and then one without me until they feel confident in their ability to solve that type of math problem and its concepts.

I am a recent graduate from a liberal arts college which has allowed me the opportunity to be immersed in a variety of subjects. I graduated with a BA in Honors Mathematics and a BA in Physics and am going to continue my education to pursue a PhD in Computational and Systems Biology. I received my Bachelor's degree in Education, Math Grades 8-12 at Baylor University. Through Baylor’s program I tutored Fall ‘03, Spring ‘04, and Summer ‘04. During the ‘04-‘05 school year, I was a Teaching Associate in a local school. I observed, tutored, co-taught, and taught one period of Geometry that year.
