A Little Bit About Me...

Having homeschooled my children (eldest is attending a top 20 public university)and volunteering extensively in the school community, I have become familiar with a wide variety of learning styles. My legal background has prepared me for tutoring in that I am able to effectively communicate with the student and present the material in a manner conducive to a learning experience(similar to explaining legalese to a lay person). Above all, I strive to ensure that the student has a true understanding of the materials, as opposed to simple memorization. I strongly encourage the student to take an analytical approach to learning, and to view both sides of any issue so that true understaning of the subject matter is achieved.

A Little Bit About Me...

At the University of California-Berkeley, I have pursued my academic interests and personal convictions through a variety of study, work and volunteer experiences. As a student, I have developed strong research, writing and study skills. I have earned two bachelor's degrees in English Literature and Legal Studies and received honor's in Legal Studies after completion of a ninety page research paper. Outside of the classroom, I have had the enjoyable and rewarding experience of mentoring two teen girls for the past two years. In addition, I also work in a law office as a legal and financial assistant, furthering my writing, communication and mathematical skills.

I have served in the educational setting for over 11 years. I have a vast background in special education and have worked with all kinds of disabilities and behavioral issues.
