My comments on tutoring PSAT : I took prep classes for the SAT but took this test mainly as an indicator of where i needed to focus for the real SAT. However, the tests are very similar and because of my expertise on the SATs I feel beyond confident in both my ability to teach the concepts and improve scores.

I have helped my classmates and have had one official student as of this summer. However, I have learned how to explain concepts so that students dont just memorize, they will gain a thought process and applicable knowledge that will enable them to solve even the most complex problems. Having this mentality of preparation and success will being them to reach their goals.
Teaching new concepts, practice applying the new material, review, and more practice of the material to solidify the concepts.

As a recent student, I am very familiar with what it feels like to be in the position a lot of the students are in right now. At the same time, I understand the best method about how to approach understanding the material in the easiest manner possible. The key is patience and practice. I teach others by learning and adapting myself. I love finding new and creative ways to explain familiar concepts. For my degree I had to take a year of chemistry, which I immediately fell in love with, even though I had hated it in high school.
