I enjoy teaching almost as much as I enjoy learning. I believe that basic education skills are the foundation for success. Progressing through school in Independent Study Classes, I am fully aware that conventional methods of teaching and studying do not work for every child. I invite and accept the challenge of discovering new ways to share the knowledge that I have gathered so far in my educational career. I recently graduated from the University of South Carolina-Aiken and hold a BA in Early Childhood Education. I am a certified K-3 teacher and I am currently pursuing my MAED online. I have obtained great experience working with children of all ages for 5 plus years, including teaching and tutoring.
When teaching I like to put myself in the child's shoes and think "how can I make this understandable?" When teaching you must make the materials interesting and enjoyable for the learner. I enjoy bringing hands on materials into my lessons whenever possible and use positive feedback to encourage the child.
