I am a strong proponent of critical thinking skills. For me, teaching is much more than being a content expert, but also a patient, yet demanding coach. Rote memorization is never enough; a thorough understanding of the underlying concepts and facts is crucial in achieving true mastery of a subject. A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching, period. I strive for clarity in my presentation. This has allowed me to explain very complex ideas to adults as well as very young children. The mark of a good teacher is comprehension. Never is there a place for anger or impatience in teaching! It is the duty of the instructor to demonstrate why the subject is important and interesting. Before I begin to teach I like to attempt to understand how much the student comprehends about the particular subject. I prefer to teach globally and with examples.
