Social Studies is one of my top subjects!

I am currently a high school junior. That being said, I do not have a degree. However, I am in the top 20% of my high school class, I take only honors classes, and actually learn the material so I can tutor a student who needs help. I would love to help any child or student who is wanting to excel in their studies. (:
I would describe my teaching style as friendly. I try not to give off so much of teacher-student type atmosphere, because many children get discouraged and are not as comfortable and not as willing to learn.

My first tutoring experience was in my freshman year of college. I tutored basic college algebra and calculus. Having earned two bachelor degrees in both math and physics. I feel I have a good understanding of not only the theory but also the applications of math to science. Tutoring both privately and publicly has also increased my speaking and presentation abilities. My experience in teaching in the the ESL adult learning education, college secretarial courses and Junior HS all subjects. I enjoyed the thrill of teaching beginning students and student that needed to improve skills for the jog market. I was responsible for assessments, lesson plans, daily and weekly exams. The most important part of teaching is building a students self esteem in challenging subjects and allowing some self directed assessments.
I do believe that everyone has a different way of learning.
