Everybody learns differently, and I vary my teaching style to meet the individual learning needs of the person whom I am tutoring. One major constant of my teaching style, though, is that I heavily emphasize repetition in one manner or another.

Teacher seeks tutoring students

I love hands-on activities and learning experiences that include technology. I also like to include activities that appeal to all types of learning styles. I have used and implemented Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences when planning and implementing lessons.
I Have been a teacher since 2002. I have had various experience in teaching students diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, OCD, PDD, ODD, as well as other learning, social, emotional, and behavioral disabilities. Everyone learns differently. I think by involving as many of your senses you are able to learn and retain information better. Teaching information and giving examples that are relavent to the student's life and experiences help teach the student that learning is important.The advances in technology and utilizing these resources are very important.
