A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of one of the top state schools in New York, I have always believed in the importance of education. I have a BA in art studio, 2 years of biology/chemistry, and Calculus I&II, which has given me a well rounded education. I have also developed a higher level of writing skills through my research papers and laboratory write-ups. My latin classes have given me a better understanding of vocabulary and the derivatives of different languages from latin. I completed my masters degree in an accelerated program. This required more credit hours in a shorter time, while working in the field of study. I have worked in many different schools and settings where the abilities range from gifted education to special education. I have conducted case studies, learning profiles, behavior plans, and other studies that require individual attention. I have tutored students in Reading, English, Math, and the Arts. During my undergraduate work my content specialty was English Language Arts.

I have taken statistics and gotten an A in the course and still have all course materials to give a general overview of statistics and how to use SPSS. I am knowledgeable on the software and would be able to answer questions on statistics because of how well I did and how I used to help others who struggled with the class.
My teaching style is to have a set of problems made up for the students to observe as examples to help understand certain chapters. I will assign additional problems if needed and focus on the subject matter that is the hardest for the individual to understand.
