As a graduate of one of the top state schools in New York, I have always believed in the importance of education. I have a BA in art studio, 2 years of biology/chemistry, and Calculus I&II, which has given me a well rounded education. I have also developed a higher level of writing skills through my research papers and laboratory write-ups. I enjoy earnest and humble students, learning with and from them. A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked as a tutor in my college's writing center and as a teaching assistant in major course requirements. I will graduate at the end of this month with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in English, having completed more than 90 credit hours in literature studies and 18 credit hours of creative writing. I am a recipient of the Haussner Endowed Writing Award and have presented my work at the Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society annual convention (2010 & 2011) and my college's Student Research Day. I not only have studied writing and literature and taught it, but I love it. I greatly enjoy reading and writing and like to impart that love on my students.

I graduated with a degree in elementary education. I have since taught preschool and substitute taught for several years. I also worked at a theraputic staff support worker for behavorial children. I have a rich understanding of children on all ages and a intense background in all teaching areas.
