During the past twenty five years I have mentored, taught and managed the art of dealing within the business arena. In addition the same goes for my ability to teach the fine art of sales both in the normal business world but the agriculture industry to include propagation and distribution. My most rewarding experience was lecturing the graduating class at St. Josephs University, Philadelphia, PA. the various methods of Aqriculture Sales. My satisfaction in teaching comes from the fact that I can pass my knowledge on to students in search of their potential goals. While I have limited experience in teaching, I do feel that one of the most important jobs in this world is being a positive and supportive leader to young individuals. I believe the best approach to teaching is through communication and practice. I am extremely personable and lend a strong background to application of subject matter. My academic experience in both Chemical Engineering (BS) and Biomedical Engineering (MS) have given me strong background in math and sciences. As an undergraduate, I was fortunate to be part of a Chemical Engineering mentor program where I tutored underclassmen in the fundamentals of engineering. My basic teaching style utilizes a multimedia approach since different students learn in different ways (audio, visual, or hands-on). I like using simple “demo” experiments to show the “magic” of chemistry. Demos are then backed up by showing the chemical equations to explain what is actually going on. I also tend to use a lot of analogies, that students can related to. I access web information to help explain chemical concepts in creative ways. I also try to get students to think of problems as puzzles. I believe learning can be a fun experience as long as we never forget to ask the fundamental questions - "Why and How?" While working on my PhD. I was a graduate teaching fellow for the Dept. of Ed. Teacher-Scholar program.
