Since my sophomore year of high school, I have been helping my peers in subjects related to science and math. I helped the biology teachers create quizzes, grade papers, and provide after-school academic assistance to students. During my first semester of college, I participated in the Triunfo/Triumph Tutoring Program through El Centro Student Services at Colorado State University. This program targets K-5 grade students in the Poudre School District who need mentors to guide them with their studies. Throughout the remainder of my undergraduate experience (and even currently as a graduate), I am helping me peers understand concepts taught in college chemistry (general and organic), biology, and various levels of math.

As a teacher’s assistant for photography in high school, I realized that I had a natural aptitude for teaching and breaking subjects down into manageable parts. In college, I was the person that other students came to for guidance with difficult topics, from mathematical equations to evolutionary theory. Since I earned my BS in wildlife biology, I have taught in many capacities, including as a substitute teacher and as a trainer for new employees. A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., I returned to Wyoming to work in politics and government. I have been asked to teach chapters on Government in the local high schools as well as teaching Sunday School classes locally in Cheyenne. I serve in the State Legislature as well as working in the community to help youth succeed in their goals.
I try to create a fun learning environment, ensuring the youth can ask questions, have flexibility at their learning speed and still master the material in ways that will stay with them. Depending on the subject area, I like to give hypotheticals, questions and real-world examples that will help achieve memorization easier.
