I prefer guiding the student into developing an understanding of the material, rather than dry lecturing.
I have taught for the past 4 years at a private, weekend school. I have also tutored high school and college students in various subjects, including: math (Algebra, Calculus), science (Biology, Chemistry), and Spanish. In order to have a very successful students, I believe that giving them extra time is the most important way to encourage student to likes the language. I also like to know what is student favorite way to learn. I use lots of flash cards. I use this way to summarize the lesson that we worked on. I also believe that students has to review the lesson at home and they should work hard at their own.
