Having taught both music and French in a variety of different settings, my teaching style has changed and improved over the years. Today, my teaching is very hands-on and individualized. I strive to make the lessons or tutoring relevant and understandable for each student and give students as many opportunities to participate in their learning as possible, rather than lecturing. I also love to teach using games and creative approaches. For example, when teaching a music theory course to high school students, I designed a card game to help teach the kids how to build scales. The kids loved it so much they asked to play it all the time! I believe learning should always be fun!
