15 years experience in a broad variety of subjects!

I have been tutoring for over 15 years both in students homes or at public locations such as coffee shops or the public library. My education and experience are broad. I was educated at "Ivy League" level schools and purposefully educated myself in a large variety of the humanities, which in essence all tie together. Basic courses up through most High School material outside of the Humanities are not difficult. Actually, while my education has been primarily in the Humanities, the material I see the most in tutoring is Algebra and Geometry!
I have a way of perceiving the difficulty the student has, and am able to explain the material in a simple way that makes it easy for students to grasp. I am currently retired from the Hillsborough County School System after having taught for thirty-five years in the areas of elementary music,kindergarten and gifted. I have a B.S. in music education and a M.A. in elementary and early childhood education and certification in gifted education. As a current student at the University of Central Florida I am always learning and growing in the education field. The past 2 semesters I have interned in Seminole County working with 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students. When I am not in school I work as a Project Editorial Assistant at Harcourt Brace School Publishers.
