My comments on tutoring Test Preparation : Have tutored numerous children/teenagers.

I always start with the basics. We start with mastering what you already know, then we move on to more complex skills.
I graduated High School in 2011. During my junior year of High School I started home schooling so I could take college classes. I took three classes at Skyline College, all of which were completed with a B or better by the time I was a senior in High School. Along with my college classes I babysat a five year old and tutored him three days a week. During my senior year of High School I would regularly tutor a 16 year old and a 14 year old. After I graduated High School, I attended Modesto Junior College for the 2011/2012 Fall Semester. I always say I start my tutoring with the basics. I am kind of new to teaching. I have taught my little brother everything he knows, and I've been told I have a really good way of teaching. Younger students catch on very quickly to what it is I am teaching. If they don't catch on quick, then no problem. I'm very patient and never give up until a student understands the concept. I am very easy to get along with, so the student will have no problems with me. I am a certified paraprofessional. I have enjoyed a part-time position as such for the San Joaquin County Office of Education working in a K-4 Special Education, Severely Handicapped class. I have also worked in an adult class, ages 18-22.
