I have spent my life working towards degrees that would help me to give my life meaning. I have earned a B.S. and M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology, as well as, a bilingual extension in Spanish. Since I also love healing through nutrition and energy work, I've earned degrees in Health Counseling and Reconnective Healing. As I continue to learn myself, I hope to inspire people to do the same!
I have been working with children ever since I can remember. I love to engage in creative activities with children while helping them utilize their strengths to overcome their limitations. I've learned that by figuring out what motivates a child, s/he can learn anything! I also know that if a child is having fun, it means that s/he is learning something. Teaching is my passion. I find that the single most important factor in being successful while working with children is getting to know them. When you get to know a student and what his or her interests are you get a glimpse into how they learn. Every time I teach I ensure that my lessons are student oriented. I incorporate the student's interests as much as possible. When students are engaged they tend to learn better. All students have the potential to excel.
