While earning my degree in earth and atmospheric science I was a tutor to underclassmen at my university in the subjects of earth science and geography. In having a great passion for working with/teaching children, I think that it is immensely important to remember that everyone has a different way of learning. Some ways work better for some as opposed to others. My teaching style is always based around the children that I am teaching. Overall, I have found that there are a lot of students out there that are best able to learn by hands activities and visual cues. While I do find this to be the best method, I am not opposed to trying out new things to help the children learn to the best of their abilities, as I am a very patient and understanding teacher.
