I believe in Minimalism. I tutor Math from the point of view that the shortest path is the best path but everyone learns differently and finding the right method for my students is one of my main goals when tutoring. I teach students multiple ways to solve a particular problems and they get to decide which method works best for them, hopefully its the simplest method. My comments on tutoring Calculus I : Calculus is fundamental to the study of Physics. I am exteremely proficient in this form of mathematics.

Throughout high school I tutored students aged 9-14 in a variety of subjects ranging from math to music. I have also tutored informally as a college student, mostly helping coach peers through lower-division physics or math series. In addition, I volunteered for 5 years as a teachers assistent in an elementary and middle school setting, so I understand the dynamics of working with (sometimes large) groups of students.
Problem solving is the best way to learn a technical skill. For instance, in mathematics homework usually consists of a set of problems that the student must solve.
