My comments on tutoring Organic Chemistry : I got an A in Orgo with minimal studying and did undergrad research in it.

I am focused on getting you to understand the material such that you can answer multiple choice questions easily. I focus on test prep. I like to use examples in real life to help you understand. If one example doesn't work, I use others. I prefer to use animations to get you to understand.
I have taught Anatomy and Physiology at the college level so I know the kind of questions that will be asked on exams and can teach you what to focus on. I can give you practice exams. I have tutored in Biology and focus on my student's needs. I got a 33 on the MCAT without studying much and I can teach you how to do that too.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a tutor Since about the age of 13. Mathematics and science have been the areas with the most experience. In high school and through to college, I was a part of organizations such as Mu Alpha theta, Top 10 Percent, Fun Lab Inc etc... that were centered around giving kids opportunities to be more involved with STEM and tutored them in those various subjects. My strongest suit in my teaching style is probably the many ways that I would approach teaching a certain principle. If the student does not understand one way to approach a problem, I try to best to help them understand and learn another way. I feel like since everyone learns differently, a tutor should approach a problem from as many angles as possible. My teaching style is also very patient. I suppose the saying "give a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish, feed him for a lifetime" would apply to my style. I try to make sure the student understands the principles behind the type of problem and not just how to do the one problem. That way, if they see another problem like the one they just learned, they can apply what the learned and do the second problem.
